Mannion’s Island is located in picturesque Dunmanus Bay very close to the shoreline and is accessible all year round. There is a small cove on the eastern end, which is well sheltered, and is ideal for swimming and boating activities. It is within close proximity of the main land – the nearest point being approximately 300m. In a small boat it takes just five to six minutes from the nearest dock to the Island.

There are two Churches and a school in the Village. The nearest market town of Bantry is only a ten-minute journey by car. Cork International Airport and ferry port are approximately 1 hour 15 minutes away.
